Diet 3 indications. What to exclude from the menu

Features of the Pevzner power system

The diet system includes 15 treatment tables. Some of them are divided into additional categories with letter designations. Categories of diets are designed for certain stages of the pathological process: exacerbation - remission - recovery. Tables are most in demand in hospitals and sanatoriums, but patients outside medical institutions are often prescribed such a diet.

Important! Even a properly selected diet does not replace full treatment. Self-prescribed diet to correct symptoms is unacceptable

The main goals of the Pevzner diet:

  • Increasing the effectiveness of treatment.
  • Alleviation of the patient's condition.
  • Normalization of the functions of affected organs.
  • For chronic diseases, diet increases the period of remission.

Principles of therapeutic diet No. 3

Table 3 with medicines, laxative enemas and suppositories improves peristalsis and activity of the gastrointestinal tract. Constipation occurs at different ages, the most common causes are:

  • Incorrect and poor quality nutrition.
  • Hereditary predisposition (features of the intestinal structure).
  • Adhesions and intestinal obstruction.
  • Pregnancy and postpartum period.
  • Secondary diseases.
  • Deterioration of metabolism.
  • Low fluid consumption.

Feces that are not excreted from the body cause chronic poisoning. Toxins affect internal organs, and the process of fermentation and proliferation of pathological bacteria begins. Often, in addition to constipation, the patient experiences general weakness, headache, aching joints, sleep disturbances, and deterioration in the condition of the skin and hair. Diet number 3 is recommended for patients with chronic gastrointestinal diseases with a predominance of intestinal motility disorders.

  • The diet should be complete: up to 120g of fat, 120g of protein and 400g of carbohydrates.
  • You need to take food in small portions, 4-5 times a day, the maximum volume is 300g.
  • The energy value of the diet is 2800-3500 kcal per day.
  • The food does not need to be ground or chopped, just chew thoroughly. The ingredients undergo primary processing with saliva, and the digestion process occurs faster. Puree, on the contrary, weakens intestinal motility and sticks food particles together.
  • Diet 3 for constipation includes dishes that enhance intestinal motor function and enzyme production. It is necessary to exclude products that cause putrefactive processes and fermentation.
  • It is best to steam, boil or bake food (not until crispy). Vegetables and fruits are eaten raw.
  • Follow temperature conditions dishes: hot not higher than 62 degrees, cold – higher than 15 degrees.
  • Common cause constipation is due to simple dehydration. Maintain proper drinking regimen - at least 2 liters of fluid per day. Water softens stool and normalizes the process of excretion of waste products from the body.
  • Try to eat at the same time, give up bad eating habits: snacking, eating on the go, fast food.

  • Day-old wheat bread, savory cookies and pastries.
  • Soups with cereals, vegetable broths, low-fat broths, noodles.

Table of prohibited and allowed foods according to diet Table No. 3. Find out what you can and cannot eat on diet Table 3, and also take advantage of a balanced menu for the week!

The term " dietary food"has a medical basis. This is not just a restriction on the consumption of any foods for the purpose of losing weight. Once upon a time, scientist M. Pevzner created 15 dietary nutrition systems that were clinically tested. All of them were aimed at getting rid of the symptoms of diseases occurring in both acute and chronic forms.

In this article we will look at the features and menu of dietary food, which is called "table number 3". This system is prescribed by a gastroenterologist and indications for this include various pathological conditions of the gastrointestinal tract, in particular the intestines. It will improve the condition of constipation, hemorrhoids, which have a chronic and acute form.

Main principles of the diet

A gastroenterologist, when prescribing this system, must explain to you its basic principles. After all, your well-being and the speed of recovery depend on how strictly you follow them.

  • The total calorie content is about 2600 kcal. That is, it is impossible to say that this diet will greatly help in losing weight. But it is very important to adhere to the specifically indicated calorie content, since it meets the normal needs of an adult. It also speeds up metabolism.
  • It is important to monitor the amount of protein (no more than 90 g), of which 45% should be of plant origin.
  • Do not forget about the norm of fat - about 90 g per day. It is important to observe the percentage - 75% of them are of animal origin.
  • The amount of carbohydrates is no more than 400 g.
  • It is imperative to adjust your diet so that you eat at the same time.
  • Number of meals – up to 6 times. It is better to make the intervals between them approximately equal.
  • Fluid intake is also stipulated - 1.5 liters per day. Ideally, it should be only clean water.
  • The diet includes a lot of vegetables and fruits.
  • It is important to handle food correctly. Thorough grinding is recommended.
  • Products that promote the activation of decay processes and cause fermentation are strictly prohibited.

Thus, this diet, subject to all recommendations, normalizes intestinal function and stimulates metabolism. As a result of the removal of toxins and waste from the body, all organs and systems begin to work better.

Principles of diet 3 table

Let's figure out how the body works when following the principles of a diet for constipation. What we do and what benefits we get by following Diet 3.

We eat in small portions - 4-5 times a day: 3 main meals, 1-2 snacks.

First of all, this ensures a regular outflow of bile, stable blood sugar levels and the readiness of the pancreas to produce a sufficient amount of enzymes for each meal.

We exclude heavy and exotic dishes.

By doing this, we protect the digestive system from overload in the process of assimilation of heavy and unfamiliar food. Allergies recede, drowsiness, flatulence and heaviness in the stomach after eating go away.

Removing empty calories from your diet.

Baked goods, fast food, alcohol, etc. The list of “calorie bombs” with extremely low nutritional value is familiar to most people. By removing them from the diet in favor of healthy foods, we stabilize all types of metabolism, increase the supply of nutrients, reduce false feelings of hunger, harmonize peristalsis, and even relieve signs of fatigue and memory loss.

Increasing the amount of fiber.

Dietary fiber is an effective peristalsis and creates conditions for healthy intestinal microflora. Let us also take into account that it is in the intestines that the strength of the immune system originates. And the sorption properties of fiber make it possible to restrain the absorption of excess and potentially harmful substances.

We drink more water.

At least 1.2-1.5 liters of clean water per day. Water works in tandem with fiber, facilitating the movement of food bolus through the intestines and the absorption of nutrients.

We exclude or strictly limit products that fasten.

Here it is worth taking into account the individual reaction. There is an average list of products with a fixing effect. We will present it after the table.

There are foods with a very loud reputation as “food that strengthens you.” Among them are some valuable fruits and berries rich in acids (grapes, blueberries, dogwoods, gooseberries), whole milk, green bananas, strong black tea, coffee, cocoa.

How to use them is a delicate question. Rely on your body’s personal reaction and the time of consumption of a specific food. For example, if you can’t imagine a morning without coffee or tea, then they can be included in your diet. Turn your favorite tonic into a morning choleretic.

For details on choosing food choleretic drugs, read the article “How to improve bowel function during constipation”, section Medical nutrition. There we explained the causes and mechanisms of constipation and - most importantly! - described in detail the complete list therapeutic methods at home. You can choose the most effective ones for yourself.

It is always beneficial to learn new nutritional knowledge in practice. But if consolidation of stool has been bothering you for more than the first week, you need to consult a gastroenterologist or therapist. Remember! Constipation can be a symptom of a serious illness.

General features of diet No. 3

Diet table No. 3 is not intended for weight loss, but is of a medical nature. With its help, the doctor can alleviate the condition of a person suffering from constipation. However, with diet number 3, the menu is selected so rationally that along with problems with bowel movements, excess weight may also go away. The diet is physiologically complete, since it is not limited in proteins, fats and carbohydrates, and does not require counting calories, salt, or sugar. At table 3, the diet has the following features:

  • It is preferable not to chop food, cook meat and fish in pieces;
  • exclude foods that can cause rotting and fermentation in the intestines;
  • refuse foods with secretion-stimulating properties (fried, spicy, rich in essential and extractive substances).

The menu must include products with plant fiber, which, with the required amount of incoming fluid, help stimulate regular bowel movements. However, foods that contain excess amounts of insoluble fiber (mushrooms, legumes, some leafy vegetables) in combination with a lack of water can aggravate constipation, so they should not be included in diet #3.

Nutritionist advice. When choosing a source of dietary fiber, you should take into account the presence of pain syndrome and food tolerance. For hypotonic constipation, you can use all foods that are rich in dietary fiber and potassium without pain. If constipation is accompanied by intestinal cramps, then it is advisable to choose foods rich in water-soluble fiber. The best sources of dietary fiber are oat bran and fruit and vegetable pectin.

The diet should also increase the consumption of foods rich in magnesium (kelp, wheat bran, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, nuts, oatmeal, rice, bran bread, dried fruits), which acts as a calcium antagonist and reduces spastic changes.

Bran should be introduced into the diet gradually. Start with 1/2 tsp. steamed bran, adding them to one of the dishes with an increase of 1/2 tsp. in Week. If dyspeptic complaints arise or intensify, it is necessary to return to a smaller dose, evenly dividing it into several meals. It is advisable to increase the dose of bran to 1-2 tbsp. l. per day, but do not exceed it, since a lot will be excreted from the body along with feces useful substances.

Indications for prescribing treatment table No. 3

Diet table No. 3 is prescribed by a doctor as part of a comprehensive treatment of chronic intestinal diseases when there are functional disorders and constipation develops.

Disorders in the functioning of the intestine can be caused by its atony - a weakening of the muscles responsible for peristalsis. The intestinal walls cannot cope with the timely movement of food and feces. Stagnation causes the development of inflammation, intoxication, and significantly worsens the patient’s condition.

Table No. 3 is recommended for hemorrhoids, anal fissures, some diseases of the gastrointestinal tract (GIT) and biliary tract, when it is very important to prevent compaction of stool and irregular bowel movements.

The goal of diet No. 3 according to Pevzner

Diet table No. 3 is prescribed to ensure that intestinal motor functions are normalized and bowel movements are improved. Thanks to a properly selected menu for the week, metabolic processes are stimulated. Food is easily and quickly digested. The intestinal walls are stimulated to work actively. Formed feces do not stagnate and are eliminated from the body without problems.

The goal of diet No. 3 is not only to relieve constipation. Impaired bowel movements contribute to the accumulation of toxic products that are formed during metabolic processes. Proper selection of products and regulation of diet prevent the risk of intoxication of the body.

General characteristics of table No. 3

The energy value of table No. 3 according to Pevzner at the time of the development of this nutrition system was assumed to be up to 3000 kcal per day. Today, taking into account a sedentary lifestyle and low energy consumption during the day, nutritionists recommend limiting yourself to 2500 kcal. However, the reduction in calories did not affect the overall ratio of nutrients, which must be observed:

  • proteins – 70 g (at least half of them are of animal origin);
  • fats – 80 g (one third of them should be vegetable);
  • carbohydrates – 360 g.

During the day you need to drink at least one and a half liters of free liquid; salt is allowed in the amount of 15 g per day.

You should eat little and often. There should be no gaps of more than 3 hours between meals. Food is not pureed or chopped. Each meal must include vegetables or fruits, which can be raw or cooked, whole or in the form of salads.

Despite the absence of restrictions on carbohydrates, it is recommended to give preference to slowly digestible ones - from vegetables and cereals.

The maximum benefit comes from dietary nutrition, which includes dishes that are not only allowed or healthy, but also tasty.

Curd pudding. Beat 400 g of fresh cottage cheese, 3 eggs and 3 tablespoons of honey in a blender. Grind 5 tablespoons of Hercules oatmeal in a coffee grinder and add to curd mass, mix everything well. Grease the mold with butter and sprinkle with a little sugar. Peel and cut 2 bananas into slices and line the bottom of the pan. Pour the oatmeal-curd mixture on top and place in the oven over medium heat for half an hour. When the pudding is golden brown, remove from the oven, cool slightly and turn onto a plate so that the bananas are on top.

Pumpkin souffle. Peel and cut 400 g of pumpkin into pieces and place in a saucepan. Pour in enough water to slightly cover the pumpkin and cook for 20 minutes until soft. Drain the water, cool the pumpkin and place in a blender. Separate the yolk from 1 egg and add to the pumpkin. Squeeze the juice of 1 orange there, pour 150 ml of milk, a teaspoon of honey. Grate a teaspoon of ginger root and orange zest into it. Grind everything to a puree. Beat the egg white into a stiff foam, add salt and gently fold into the pumpkin puree. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius, take a deep baking tray and pour boiling water. Prepare molds of approximately 175 ml, pour the soufflé into them and place on a baking sheet so that they are half in the water. Place the tray with the ramekins in the oven and bake for about 25 minutes until the soufflé has settled a little and is cooked through. Cool slightly before serving.
